Should you stay at Universal Orlando’s Loews Royal Pacific Resort? We’re here to answer that question for you in this Royal Pacific Resort review and guide. In this article, we’ll dive into everything you need to know about the hotel, from rooms and dining to amenities, location, and overall value.
BOTTOM LINE:
Royal Pacific Resort is a premier level property and comes with every possible perk Universal Orlando’s on site hotels have to offer, including Unlimited Universal Express Pass for every person in your party. And if you want a South Pacific experience without actually traveling to the South Pacific, you will not be disappointed. Tons of guests absolutely love it.
However, as a premier resort, Royal Pacific is one of the most expensive (and sometimes the most expensive) on site hotel at Universal Orlando. If you’re willing to pay for everything you get (which is a lot), you won’t regret the experience. If those prices make your eyes water, we can point you toward other, more affordable options that are just as much fun.

While we are obsessed with the South Pacific and love the Royal Pacific vibe, we would still probably rank it third (3rd) among the premier hotels. But we really love the other two premier resorts, so that isn’t saying much. Royal Pacific is really great, and it absolutely feels like a luxury hotel. Read on to find out why it might be worth the cost for your group.

What is Loews Royal Pacific Resort? An Overview of the Hotel
Royal Pacific opened in 2002 as the third (3rd) of Universal Orlando’s on site hotels, and it has been one of the jewels of its hotel collection ever since. Don’t let the age fool you. The hotel is refreshed regularly, with the most recent refurbishment completed in 2026.

Immersive Theming: A Tropical Paradise in the South Seas
Main Lobby

Like the other premier resorts at Universal Orlando, Royal Pacific is split level, with the main lobby and port cochère located on the third (3rd) floor. The lobby introduces you to a tropical paradise, with high ceilings, dark wood, and lush lounge areas. It houses the check in desks, the Universal Vacation Planning Center, luggage services, concierge, the Universal Orlando and sundry shop, and two (2) of the hotel’s food venues.
The theming starts before you even walk through the doors. The main entrance takes you across a bridge surrounded by lush landscaping, water, and waterfalls, setting the South Pacific tone before you ever reach the lobby.

And don’t miss the open air Orchid Courtyard just off the main lobby. The tropical courtyard surrounds a reflection pool with lush landscaping and carved elephant statues, and it’s one of the prettiest spots in the hotel.
South Pacific Vibes
Royal Pacific will transport you to the South Pacific island of your choice. It leans all the way into its South Pacific setting without turning it into a theme park version of the tropics. The resort is built around lush landscaping, palms, water features, warm woods, and rich island inspired details, with open, airy spaces that make the whole place feel a little removed from Orlando.

There are plenty of Polynesian influences, but they’re layered into a hotel that still feels polished and upscale rather than overly themed. The result is somewhere between a luxury island resort and an old school tropical escape: relaxed, beautiful, and immersive, but sophisticated enough that you never forget Royal Pacific is one of Universal’s Signature Collection hotels.
Royal Pacific takes theming a step further by offering an authentic Polynesian luau. Read more here.
The Property

As noted above, this is a large split level hotel, and the amenities are largely split between the ground floor and the third floor main lobby. The ground floor houses the pool, the shuttle stop, the water taxi dock, a shop, the gym, the arcade, and three (3) of the hotel’s restaurants. Gardens, walking paths, and plenty of outdoor seating surround the property. Head out the back of the hotel to catch the complimentary water taxi along Universal’s waterway, or follow the walking path, to the parks.

Despite its size and three separate guest towers, Royal Pacific is surprisingly easy to navigate. Most of the major amenities feel centrally located, and we never felt like we were trekking across the resort to get anywhere.
2025/2026 Renovations

Royal Pacific Resort finished a huge renovation in 2026. The guest rooms, the restaurants, and the exteriors all got a major glow up. The only thing left that betrays the age of this hotel is the elevators. They are old.
Holidays at Royal Pacific Resort
Like all Universal Orlando on site hotels (and theme parks), Royal Pacific gets into the holiday spirit. Expect festive Christmas decorations during the holidays and Halloween Horror Nights themed touches around the resort each fall.
Should You Stay at the Royal Pacific Resort?

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Unlimited Universal Express Pass included for every registered guest
- Incredible South Pacific theming throughout the hotel
- Seven dining options, including a luau, a sushi bar, and room service
- All amenities are centrally located in the hotel
- Walking path and complimentary water taxi to the parks
- Close proximity to Islands of Adventure
- Spacious and luxury suites available
- Club level available
- Premier Resort amenities and exclusive park benefits
Cons
- One of the most expensive hotels at Universal Orlando
- Smaller standard guest rooms than its premier resort counterparts

Royal Pacific Resort Price Comparison
We aren’t going to sugarcoat it. Royal Pacific is expensive. All three premier level resorts are expensive, and which one costs the most changes throughout the year based on demand and seasonal pricing.
They also come with the most valuable amenities, including the Unlimited Universal Express Pass and other exclusive park benefits (all covered in the next section ⬇️).
Purchased separately, the Unlimited Universal Express Pass can cost up to $375 per person, per day. Depending on your party size, that adds up fast. For example, a family of four (4) staying at Cabana Bay Beach Resort for three (3) nights could easily spend more than $4,000 just to add the Unlimited Express Passes.
On the other hand, if the Unlimited Universal Express Pass isn’t important to you, Royal Pacific may not be worth the premium price.

Exclusive Universal Orlando On Site Perks
RELATED: Click here to discover the exclusive benefits at each Universal Orlando on site hotel in our 2026 Universal Orlando Planning guide.
Benefits at Every Universal On Site Hotel
As a premier hotel, Royal Pacific includes every basic on site hotel exclusive benefit, including:
- Early Park Admission: Access to select attractions at Universal Orlando theme parks up to an hour early with valid theme park admission.
- Complimentary Transportation: Shuttle buses provide convenient access to all Universal Orlando theme parks and Universal CityWalk.
- Resort-Wide Charging Privileges: Guests can use their room key for purchases throughout Universal Orlando Resort.
- Complimentary Merchandise Delivery: Have purchases from any and all Universal Orlando Resort stores delivered directly to your hotel room. You can shop at any time during your trip and not worry about lugging your merch around. (Easily our personal favorite Universal Orlando on site feature!)
UNLOCKED TIP: Packages will usually show up in your room the day after your purchase. Make sure you leave enough time for your stuff to reach your suitcase before your departure.

- Universal Studios Store: Like every on site hotel, Royal Pacific has a Universal Orlando merch shop. They’re great for picking up last minute souvenirs before you catch your flight, or for grabbing last minute necessities before you go to the parks.
- Universal Vacation Planning Center: Each on site hotel has its own on site Vacation Planning Center where you can pick up your park tickets from your vacation package and purchase any other Universal Orlando tickets and passes or make any reservations you need.
Benefits Exclusive to Premier Resorts
As a premier resort, Royal Pacific offers additional benefits above and beyond the basic tier. These include:
- Universal Express Pass Unlimited: Skip the lines every time with unlimited use of the Universal Express Pass.
UNLOCKED TIP: Universal Express Unlimited can cost anywhere from $160 to $375 per person, per day. At certain times, a single Express Pass can cost as much as a night at the hotel, and every registered guest in your room gets one for every day of your stay. Totally worth it.

- Water Taxi Service: Hop on this convenient river boat located at your hotel’s dock and enjoy a relaxing ride to Universal Orlando theme parks and Universal CityWalk.
- North Campus Resort Walking Path: Each premier resort has a walking path to the north campus parks that winds along the Universal waterway.
- Priority Seating at Resort Restaurants: Show your room key at restaurants across the resort and skip the walk-in guest line.
Royal Pacific Resort is a premier level on site hotel, giving you access to each and every one of these benefits with your stay.
If premier resorts are not for you, check out the Universal Orlando north campus budget hotel options. We love (some of) them! Click below to read our review and guide from each one.
- Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Universal’s first budget hotel
- Aventura Hotel, Universal’s first budget plus hotel
- Dockside Inn and Suites, part of the Endless Summer Resorts
- Surfside Inn and Suites, part of the Endless Summer Resorts (and our favorite budget option at the resort!)
Travel and Royal Pacific Resort
Travel to Royal Pacific Resort
Whether you bring your own vehicle, rent a TURO or AVIS vehicle, use a rideshare service, or book the Universal Orlando official shuttle, just pull up to the circle entrance of the hotel, and the hotel team members will take care of you.

If you bring a vehicle to the hotel (rented or otherwise), you have two options, self parking and valet. The prices are:
- Self parking: $36 per day.
- Valet parking: $45 per day.
If you are not staying at the hotel but want to park there for the day, the prices are (30 minutes complimentary):
- Self parking: $53
You’re going to experience similar parking fees at every on site hotel, and it’s frankly why we try to avoid bringing a car to Universal Orlando if at all possible.
Travel to and from the Parks
The water taxi is the fastest, most convenient way to get back and forth from the theme parks. However, the buses to the north campus parks and CityWalk, EPIC Universe, and Volcano Bay stop at Royal Pacific Resort just like every other hotel.

The Volcano Bay water park is not serviced by the water taxis. You must take the dedicated Volcano Bay shuttle bus. Same goes for EPIC Universe. The Royal Pacific shuttle bus stop is located on the first floor past the pool and the event building.
Wanting to stay closer to EPIC Universe? Click below to read our review and guide from each new south campus hotel.
- Loews Helios Grand Hotel, the south campus Signature Collection hotel
- Stella Nova Resort, Universal’s first south campus budget hotel
- Terra Luna Resort, Universal’s second south campus budget hotel

UNLOCKED TIP: Keep in mind that no matter which north campus entrance you use (CityWalk, water taxi, or walking path) you will still have to go through metal detectors to enter the resort. There is no way to get into the parks otherwise. Security sits at the entrance to CityWalk, both walking path gates, and each water taxi dock.

Water Taxi & Walking Path
We love the water taxi so much. It adds a layer of relaxation and luxury to the trip. And the water taxi views are not to be underestimated! The water taxi dock at Royal Pacific lies just beyond the pool.

The walking path starts at Sapphire Falls, goes past the Royal Pacific Resort, and ends up at a gate next to Margaritaville at CityWalk Orlando. It has similarly amazing views to the water taxi, and you’ll probably watch several water taxis pass you as you walk.

UNLOCKED TIP: If you are leaving from the pool and Bula Bar, there is a shortcut out the back to get on the path.
I’m sure ambitious people choose to take the path for fun. People like us take the path only out of necessity. The water taxi service closes during inclement weather. You then have the option of the bus or the path.
UNLOCKED TIP: The path from CityWalk Orlando to Royal Pacific is only about a ten (10) minute walk. Going back through CityWalk to the park entrance and then down to the bus pick up takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Plus, then you’re waiting for a bus. But to each their own.
Loews Royal Pacific Resort Hotel Accommodations
UNLOCKED TIP: Make sure to download the Universal Orlando official app. You can link your reservation and check in as early as 48 to 72 hours before your stay. There is a section where they specifically ask you for any special requests for your lodgings. The earlier you make them, the better your chances of getting the room location or features you want instead of choosing from whatever is left when you arrive. (And other guests are using this feature, so the chance of limited options is significant.) NOTE: On our most recent stay, our room was ready when we arrived around 9AM, which was an extremely pleasant surprise. This can happen to you, too!

Rooms

Standard guest rooms at Royal Pacific are 335 square feet. Rooms come with either two (2) queen beds or one (1) king bed. Amenities in the rooms include a TV, free Wi-Fi, a coffee maker, a fridge, a safe, and standard bathroom amenities.

These rooms feel very lavish, mainly thanks to the hotel’s 2026 refurbishment. And possibly even more so than the other two premier resorts, despite being smaller than both.

One complaint: the beds come with approximately 3742903578 pillows but a paper thin comforter and no extra blanket. If you want something heavier than the very light bedding, you can request an extra blanket through the hotel’s text service. It’s thin as well, but safety in numbers etc etc.
Room Sizes Compared

At 335 square feet, Royal Pacific standard rooms are slightly bigger than Universal budget hotel rooms, which clock in between 300 and 325 square feet. And they definitely feel luxurious. However, they are notably smaller than the standard rooms at each of Royal Pacific’s premier resort counterparts, Hard Rock (375 sq ft) and Portofino Bay (450 sq ft).
RELATED: Click here to read our review of Hard Rock Hotel Orlando, Universal’s second premier resort.
Water View Rooms
Royal Pacific offers a “water view” room for an additional nightly charge. These rooms will either give you a view of the lagoon pool or the Universal waterway. And if you want specifically one or the other, you need to tell them that at check in because they are not separate options. (Use the app check in feature noted above.) It’s an interesting choice, to be sure.

We booked a water view room on our most recent stay, and we’ll say that “water view” can be a generous description. We could see the waterway between the trees, but the better view from our room was actually Islands of Adventure. Keep that in mind if the view is an important reason you’re paying the higher nightly rate.
Club Level

Royal Pacific offers the Royal Club Level for guests who want club level benefits. The rooms are standard size, but they are located on the club level with the Club Lounge. Royal Club Lounge privileges include a private lounge, continental breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, and personal concierge service.

Suites
Royal Pacific Resort offers several suite options with a variety of layouts and views, including the Jurassic World Kids’ Suite, Hospitality Suites, and Presidential Suites. Suite sizes range from approximately 650 to 2,000 square feet.

Accessibility
Royal Pacific, like all Universal Orlando hotels, offers accessibility room options at all levels. If you have accessibility needs, you can select from any of the room options mentioned above, including standard, water view, club, and suites.
Restaurants at Royal Pacific Resort

The team members at Royal Pacific restaurants are some of the kindest you will meet anywhere at Universal Orlando, and we have never had a bad dining experience at any of these venues.
Islands Dining Room

- What: Full table service, breakfast and dinner
- Where: First floor, beneath the lobby
- Breakfast: 7:00AM to 11:00AM (12:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays)
- Dinner: 5PM to 10PM
Islands Dining Room is the main restaurant venue at the Royal Pacific Resort. It is located downstairs from the main lobby, and it’s surprisingly accessible from all guest towers of the hotel. Jake’s American Bar (see below) shares a lobby with Islands, and they tag team the “all day” restaurant venue that every premier resort offers. Islands is open for breakfast, Jake’s is open for lunch, and they are both open for dinner.

The Islands Dining Room was a big part of the 2025/2026 hotel renovation, and the dining room is unrecognizable if you’ve been there before. The décor is fresh and modern and the room is very spacious with tons of tables. There is also a dedicated buffet room. And outdoor tables with umbrellas near the pool where you can get full dining service.

We eat gluten free, and while Royal Pacific is excellent at handling dietary restrictions, we don’t love many of the dishes that need to be modified to be gluten free. The naturally gluten free options, however, are very tasty. At breakfast we recommend the omelets and breakfast potatoes.
For dinner, we basically always just get desserts because they are so good and most are naturally gluten free.
Click here to explore the Islands Dining Room menu.
Jake’s American Bar

- What: Full table service, lunch and dinner
- Where: First floor, beneath the lobby
- Food Service: 11AM to 11PM
- Bar Service: 11AM to 12AM
Jake’s works in tandem with Islands (above) to offer full, all day restaurant service at Royal Pacific Resort. Islands and Jake’s share a lobby that is directly beneath the main lobby of the hotel.

Jake’s American Bar, as the name suggests, is designed to be an “escape” from the largely South Pacific themed menus at the other restaurants. (In reality, the menu is similar to both Bula Bar and Grille and Islands. There is American food at every venue.) It gives big “owned by an American ex pat” energy. American flags and other Americana décor pepper the walls and shelves.

Jake’s is open for lunch and dinner and has a much smaller menu than its Islands counterpart. But the food is very tasty. We specifically recommend the unique Tavern Chips. They are potato chip nachos topped with steak, blue cheese, tomatoes, and balsamic. Like a steak salad and a wedge salad had a baby that decided to be nachos. And don’t miss the dessert here either.
Click here to explore the Jake’s menu.
Tuk Tuk Market

- What: Grab and go and counter service
- Where: Third floor, off the main lobby
- Hours: 6AM to 11PM
Every Signature Collection on site hotel has an all day (or most of the day) grab and go market, and Tuk Tuk Market is one of our favorites. It’s one of the larger grab and go markets at the on site hotels. It has a large selection of grab and go food, plus ice cream and other prepared options at the counter.

Tuk Tuk is also a coffee shop, offering Starbucks coffee beginning at 6AM.
It offers the same drinks you can find at all the hotel markets, including juice, milk, water, sodas, energy drinks, beer, wine, hard seltzers, and premade cocktails. And Tuk Tuk has one of the bigger hard liquor selections among the on site hotels. We think Royal and Sapphire are currently battling it out for biggest boozehound.

Like all hotel markets, Tuk Tuk also houses the two (2) indoor Coke Freestyle machines (the other two are outdoor at Bula (see below).
RELATED: Click here to read about Coke Freestyle and more Universal Orlando tips and tricks in our 2026 FAQ.

There is a small dining room where you can sit and eat your finds, or you can take them with you.

Click here to explore the Tuk Tuk Market menu.
Orchid Court Lounge and Sushi Bar

- What: Bar and full table service
- Where: Third floor, off the main lobby
- Food Service: 5PM to 11PM
- Bar Service: 5PM to 1AM
Orchid Court is a very large lounge that wraps around half the third floor lobby and serves as the lobby bar at Royal Pacific. There is a large bar, table seating, and couch seating. I can’t imagine there would ever be a wait at this place. It’s so big.

As the name says, it offers a sushi bar and other small bites, as well as a craft cocktail menu. The cocktail menu leans heavily into sake, with sake based spins on familiar cocktails alongside a full traditional bar.
Click here to explore the Orchid Court menu.
Bula Bar & Grille

- What: Bar and full table service
- Where: Poolside
- Food Service: 11AM to 10PM
- Bar Service: 11AM to 11PM
The food menu at Bula Bar offers standard poolside fare. And the venue extends to the pool chairs and cabanas, where you can order directly poolside and have food and drinks brought to your pool haunt. And as we mentioned above, the two (2) outdoor Coke Freestyle machines are housed at Bula.

UNLOCKED TIP: If you have purchased a Coke Freestyle mug, you can use it here, but don’t forget that you can also just use the Coke Freestyle machines to fill up water bottles instead of purchasing expensive bottled water over and over. Buy one or two bottles and fill them up here. Click here to read about Coke Freestyle and more Universal Orlando tips and tricks in our 2026 FAQ.

Bula Bar & Grille is the poolside venue at Royal Pacific Resort. Yes, they all have one. Bula is full of tropical vibes (see pictured). It offers, as you can imagine, a signature cocktail list full of tropical favorites. You will get a great mai tai or piña colada, but there is a full bar where you can order anything you want.
And don’t forget about the backdoor to the walking path.
Click here to explore the Bula menu.
Room Service

- What: Room service
- Where: Your hotel room
- Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Room service is available at Royal Pacific and every Signature Collection hotel. At Royal Pacific, the menu pulls from several of the hotel’s dining venues, giving you plenty of options without leaving your room.
UNLOCKED TIP: Don’t be afraid to order room service because you have a food restriction. Universal’s Signature Collection hotels are generally excellent at accommodating allergies, even through room service.
Click here to explore the room service menu.
Wantilan Luau
- What: Authentic Polynesian luau
- Where: Luau pavilion
- Hours: Each Saturday night at 6PM
Royal Pacific Resort hosts a weekly authentic Polynesian luau. Jump down to our activities section to read more.
Dietary Accommodations at Royal Pacific Resort
RELATED: Click here to get our Gluten Free at Universal Orlando series covering every dining venue at Universal Orlando.
Like the rest of Universal Orlando Resort, Royal Pacific Resort takes food allergies seriously. As soon as you mention a food restriction, team members are typically quick to explain the available options and follow established procedures for preparing allergen safe meals.
Royal Pacific knocks it out of the park at every single one of its restaurant venues, including room service. A chef comes out to talk to you about allergies at each restaurant, and even the market has allergy free options.

Amenities at Royal Pacific Resort
Shopping
Unlike most Universal hotels, Royal Pacific has two (2) shops. Portofino Bay is the only other on site hotel that has more than one.
Toko Gifts

Toko Gifts is located in the main lobby and acts as the sundry shop and the Universal Studios Store. You’ll find last minute necessities like sunglasses, sunscreen, medicine, umbrellas, ponchos, and other travel essentials, along with a selection of Universal Orlando merchandise.
Treasures of Bali

Treasures of Bali is located on the first floor across from the main pool entrance. While Toko Gifts offers Universal merch and travel necessities, Treasures of Bali leans more into swimwear, pool gear, clothing, and it has a selection of Universal Orlando merchandise.
Pool at Royal Pacific Resort

The lagoon style pool at Royal Pacific Resort features sand beaches, hot tubs, a kids play area, poolside games and activities, cabanas for rent, and a poolside bar and grill.

The pool is open from 9AM to 11PM, giving you plenty of time for a swim before or after the parks. Bula Bar & Grille is large and covered with ceiling fans and several TVs, and you can order food and drinks directly from your pool chair.

And Islands of Adventure is so close you can hear sounds from the Incredible Hulk Coaster, Doctor Doom’s Fearfall, and other park shenanigans.
RELATED: Click here to get our comprehensive Universal Orlando ride guide.
Wantilan Luau
Royal Pacific takes its South Pacific theming a step further with the Wantilan Luau, a weekly dinner and show held Saturday evenings in the resort’s covered outdoor luau pavilion. The experience combines an all you can eat Polynesian inspired buffet with live music and performances representing several Pacific Island cultures, including Hawaiian hula, Tahitian dance, Tongan drumming and a Samoan fire dance.
The buffet features dishes like pit roasted pork, teriyaki chicken, fresh fish and other island inspired specialties, with beer and wine available for guests 21 and older. The Wantilan Luau is separately ticketed and open to both resort guests and visitors who aren’t staying at Royal Pacific, making it an easy way to experience more of the resort’s South Pacific atmosphere without booking a room.
Luau Tickets
Wantilan Luau begins at 6PM each Saturday night, and ticket prices are as follows.
Regular seating:
- Adult: $99
- Child: $45 (ages 3 to 9)
Premium seating:
- Adult: $119
- Child: $65 (ages 3 to 9)
Video Game Arcade

Like every Universal Orlando on site hotel, Royal Pacific has its own video game arcade, Game (Not) Over, located on the first floor.
Fitness Center

With over 5,000 square feet of space, the Royal Pacific gym offers a wide range of fitness and workout equipment. Exercise equipment includes free weights, machine weights, treadmills, exercise bikes, stairmaster, and elliptical machines.
The gym also has locker rooms for men and women, with sauna and steam rooms in each one.
Convenience Amenities
Luggage Storage

Don’t waste part of your vacation sitting around waiting for check in or check out. Leave your luggage at the luggage services desk located in the main lobby, and head to the parks or spend some time exploring the resort.
This is especially valuable if you booked a Universal Orlando vacation package, since your park tickets are typically valid on both your arrival and departure days. Take advantage of every hour you’ve already paid for.
Car Rental

AVIS car rental operates out of the main lobby. They are open from 8AM to 5PM, seven (7) days a week.
Laundry Service
Royal Pacific offers laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing services for guests. Same day service is available if your items are dropped off early enough in the morning, making it a convenient option for longer vacations or unexpected wardrobe emergencies.
Business Center
The business center is open Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5:30PM. It’s located on the first floor inside the event space building. You can find printing, copying, computer usage, and other basic business services there.
Text Service

Like many hotels today, Royal Pacific Resort offers a text messaging service that lets you communicate with the front desk instead of calling. After check in, you’ll receive a welcome text and can use that conversation to request towels, ask questions, or report issues throughout your stay.
Universal Planning Center
Every Universal Orlando on site hotel has a Universal Vacation Planning Center, and Royal Pacific’s is located in the main lobby.
If you booked a Universal vacation package, this is where you’ll pick up your park tickets. The team can also help with Express Passes, upgrades, special event tickets like Halloween Horror Nights, dining reservations, and just about anything else related to your Universal vacation.
Packages, Food, and Grocery Delivery
Before and during the pandemic, package and grocery deliveries to Universal Orlando hotels were generally very reliable. In recent years, our experience has been much more inconsistent.
Some deliveries arrive without any issues, while others are delayed or cancelled altogether. If you’re planning to rely on Amazon, DoorDash, Instacart, or another delivery service, we recommend having a backup plan just in case.
Groups and Events

Royal Pacific Resort teams up with Loews Sapphire Falls Resort to offer almost 250,000 square feet of event space. They call it the Loews Meeting Complex at Universal Orlando, and it is a popular choice for meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special events.

The hotel includes more than 220,000 square feet of indoor event space, over 25,000 square feet of outdoor venues, and a catering team that can accommodate a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and kosher menus. And the outdoor event space includes the Wantilan Pavilion, where the hotel luau is hosted each Saturday.

Royal Pacific Resort is one of those hotels that reminds you that staying at Universal Orlando can be part of the vacation, not just where you sleep between park days. The South Pacific theming is gorgeous, the entire resort feels surprisingly easy to navigate, and you are incredibly close to Islands of Adventure and CityWalk. Add the water taxi, great restaurants, a beautiful pool, and Universal Express Unlimited, and there is a lot to love here.
We stayed at Royal Pacific before the recent renovations, and the refreshed hotel impressed us even more this time around. The rooms are still smaller than the other premier resorts, and the price can be substantial, but the entire property feels polished, luxurious, and genuinely fun to spend time in.
Royal Pacific still lands third (3rd) on our personal list of Universal Orlando Premier hotels, but that says much more about how much we love Hard Rock and Portofino Bay than it does about Royal Pacific. If the South Pacific atmosphere speaks to you and you’ll take advantage of the included premier benefits, this is an excellent place to stay.
