Accessibility: Universal Orlando has a very inclusive policy where all park entrances, restaurants, on-site hotels, transportation, and ride and ride queues are constructed to accommodate guests using wheelchairs. Most attractions can accommodate these guests, either in the wheelchair itself, or by transferring the guest to the ride seat.

Every Ride and Attraction at Universal’s Volcano Bay

Volcano Bay—opened in May 2017—is the hugely popular water park and fourth overall installment at Universal Orlando Resort. If you can keep straight the names of the rides and attractions at Volcano Bay, you’re a better person than we are. Just remember it’s a bunch of fun water rides!

Every Volcano Bay attraction is obviously an outdoor water ride, and they all operate via virtual line controlled by the TapuTapu wrist band.

1. Waturi Beach

  • Attraction Type: sand beach that feeds into a wave pool
  • Height Requirement: none, under 48 inches must wear a life jacket
  • Official Description: Locals know that the waves are always perfect at Waturi Beach, where lapping surf overlooks the picturesque Wave Village. Take in unforgettable views of Krakatau, the mighty volcano, and its stunning series of waterfalls that pour into the sparkling lagoon. Swim, splash, and relax right along with the locals amid the breathtaking view and warm waves.

2. The Reef

  • Official Description: Watch the bravest Waturi take the Ko’okiri Body Plunge from the comfort of this peaceful leisure pool. A clear plexi tube shoots straight through the 5.5-foot deep shallows, which features its own private waterfall perfect for frolicking. It’s the ideal place for leisure lovers in search of an idyllic setting to while away the day.

3. Honu of Honu ika Moana™

  • Location: River Village
  • Attraction Type: multiple person thrill raft slide
  • Height Requirement: 48 inches
  • Official Description: Just like the ancient Waturi people who rode the ocean waves on friendly sea turtles, you can enjoy this twisting, turning, multi-person slide. On Honu, you can surf the underwater currents on a five-passenger raft, speeding through an open flume, then streaking along two massive walls.

4. ika Moana of Honu ika Moana™

  • Attraction Type: multiple person thrill raft slide
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied
  • Official Description: Ride the waves like the ancient Waturi did, twisting and turning along the waterway. Ika Moana, the whale, joyfully sprays water from his blowhole before everyone splashes down together in the waters below.

5. Kopiko Wai Winding River™

  • Location: River Village
  • Attraction Type: lazy river
  • Height Requirement: none, under 48 inches must wear a life jacket
  • Official Description: Take a slow ride on the Kopiko Wai Winding River through the tropical landscape of Universal’s Volcano Bay, a land full of surprises. Sprays of water surprise along the way, and beneath the lava rocks, Stargazer’s Cavern reveals the magical night sky above.

6. Tot Tiki Reef™

  • Location: River Village
  • Attraction Type: kids water play area
  • Who: young kids
  • Height Requirement: none, children may not be left unattended
  • Official Description: Even the youngest Waturi can get in on the fun in the shallows of Tot Tiki Reef™. Play among splashy slides, a tot sized water volcano, and a family of friendly tikis with spraying fountains. Plus, adorable whales spray and sing as kids raise and lower their hands.

7. Runamukka Reef™

  • Location: River Village
  • Attraction Type: kids water play area
  • Who: young kids
  • Height Requirement: maximum 54 inches, children may not be left unattended
  • Official Description: Once an exotic coral reef beneath the ocean, Runamukka Reef is now a favorite play place for young Waturi children with its bubbling geysers, water guns, slides, and dump cups. Shaded by fanciful bamboo sea creatures and waving seaweed, it’s the most playful spot in Universal’s Volcano Bay.

8. Kookiri Body Plunge™

  • Location: The Volcano
  • Attraction Type: body slide thrill ride
  • Height Requirement: 48 inches
  • Weight Requirement: under 300 pounds
  • Official Description: Join in the centuries-old tradition of honoring the volcano god, Vol, by braving the incredible Ko’okiri Body Plunge. Featuring a 70-degree fall through a drop door and 125 feet of white-knuckle fun, this dizzying descent ends with a watery tribute from Vol himself.

9. Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides™

  • Location: The Volcano
  • Attraction Type: body slide thrill ride
  • Height Requirement: 48 inches
  • Weight Requirement: under 300 pounds
  • Official Description: Join Kala and Tai Nui where sea and sky meet and take a leap of faith from high atop the volcano. Twin trap doors plunge two guests down intertwining tubes before sending them joyfully splashing into the turquoise waters below.

10. Punga Racers™ ❤️

  • Location: The Volcano
  • Attraction Type: body slide thrill ride
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches
  • Weight Requirement: under 300 pounds
  • Official Description: A favorite among Waturi children, Punga Racers send single riders on a body slide down four lanes through underwater sea caves. Among Waturi children, one of the best loved legendary heroes is Punga, the playful son of Tangaroa, god of the sea and Mahuika, goddess of fire.

11. Krakatau™ Aqua Coaster ❤️

  • Location: The Volcano
  • Attraction Type: water raft coaster ride
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied
  • Weight Requirement: under 700 pounds, combined
  • Official Description: Honorary Waturi can experience the power of Krakatau on this amazing ride. Four-person canoes slide upward through the mists and into the dark twists and turns within the volcano before emerging with a plunge through a shimmering waterfall.

12. Tonga of Taniwha Tubes™

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: two-person thrill raft slide
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied
  • Weight Requirement: under 450 pounds, combined
  • Official Description: The serpentine trunks of the tallest puka trees seem to link earth to sky. The Waturi sought to mirror their coiling path when they built these two curving green water slides. You can take on both tracks but watch out for the playful tiki statues that surprise you with sprays of water.

13. Raki of Taniwha Tubes™

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: two-person thrill raft slide
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied
  • Weight Requirement: under 450 pounds, combined
  • Official Description: There’s a place where the puka trees grow abnormally tall, with strange snakelike trunks. Inspired by their twisting roots, the Waturi built these two twisting blue water slides. Riders can try both tracks, but beware—mischievous tiki statues spray jets of water when you least expect it.

14. TeAwa The Fearless River™

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: high thrill white water river
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied, all guests have to wear life jackets
  • Official Description: Head to Hammerhead Beach and take a thrilling whitewater ride through the heart of the volcano and down a run in Rainforest Village. Put on your life vest and race along a roaring, watery onslaught of churning rapids and chopping waves.

15. Puihi of Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides™

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: five person thrill raft slide
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied
  • Weight Requirement: over 300 pounds and under 850 pounds, combined
  • Official Description: This five person rafting ride will get your heart pumping. Enter the dramatic lava tube path and test your bravery on Puihi, where you careen through a dark, winding cavern. Suddenly, you feel the stomach-flipping thrill of zero-gravity hang time as you explode out into the far side of an immense funnel, then splash your way to safety at the bottom.

16. Maku of Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides™

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: five person thrill raft slide
  • Height Requirement: 42 inches, under 48 inches must be accompanied
  • Weight Requirement: over 300 pounds and under 1050 pounds, combined
  • Official Description: Enter the dramatic lava tube path on this five person raft ride. Maku slides at high speeds through a volcanic gorge before spinning around bowl-like formations. When a geyser blasts, you’re sucked into a watery vortex and deposited into a calm pool at the canyon’s end.

17. Ohno of the Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides™ ❤️

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: body slide thrill ride
  • Height Requirement: 48 inches
  • Official Description: Make the climb to cross a deep chasm, brave the rope bridge and take the plunge down a serpentine adventure that ends six feet above the awaiting pool. Be sure to yell your battle cry of “Ohno” as you fly along the twists and turns, soar out into space and splash triumphantly into turquoise blue waters at the base of Krakatau.

18. Ohyah of the Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides™ ❤️

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: body slide thrill ride
  • Height Requirement: 48 inches
  • Official Description: Ascend the side of a cliff before plummeting down these twisting waters and getting dropped out four feet above a swirling pool. You may find yourself unleashing the defiant battle cry of “Ohyah” as you fly out toward the sparkling waters below.

19. Puka Uli Lagoon™

  • Location: Rainforest Village
  • Attraction Type: pool
  • Height Requirement: none, under 48 inches must wear life jackets
  • Official Description: This relaxing leisure pool features playful elements that even the tiniest Waturi can enjoy, like tropical bongo drums and spraying jets of water. Set beside the splash pool for the Ohyah & Ohno Body Slides, you’ll have a great view of all the fun as riders splash down from above.
